  • As Marketing Manager for BOS Security, I filmed, edited, published, and tracked videos and Shorts on YouTube. Before this position, I had no experience in video recording or editing. Since then, I’ve become confident in my ability to develop new skills and learn how to use new software or tools effectively.

The videos embedded below were edited with Adobe Premiere Pro and uploaded to YouTube. With guidance from the CEO and assistance from my colleagues and external employees, I produced videos to promote education, employee recruitment, and brand awareness.

Since beginning to post consistently on the BOS Security YouTube channel in August 2022, I’ve greatly increased subscribers, views, and impressions.

    What I Do Matters

“What I Do Matters” is a video and blog series that explores the stories of security personnel, why they chose their career, and the impact their work has on local businesses and the community as a whole

    VirtuGuard™ Greatest Hits

One division of BOS Security is VirtuGuard™ remote video monitoring or virtual guarding. Through surveillance cameras and other security devices and infrastructure, trained security personnel proactively monitor and respond to security incidents at commercial and residential properties. The YouTube Shorts embedded below are edited and captioned clips of real security incidents detected and resolved in the Command Center. The VirtuGuard™ Operations Manager exported surveillance footage, and I condensed it into short-form content to build brand awareness and generate engagement.

    Education

Early in my time with BOS Security, I collaborated with colleagues to produce a video exploring the company’s training process for armed Security Officers. Many prospective clients and candidates had questions about the process of becoming an armed Security Officer, and this seeks to answer those questions.

  • For BOS Security, I created a range of setup and troubleshooting guides for the equipment and technology required for our services. I drafted clear and concise instruction sets that internal staff, other service providers, and clients could follow.

Referring to the product guide and consulting the VirtuGuard technology team, I created a guide for clients or their IT managers to refer to when connecting a new device to our Central Station.

VirtuGuard leases and sells mobile surveillance trailers that can be used in remote locations and are regularly relocated to accommodate changing security needs. I created a guide for clients across the United States to refer to when setting up or breaking down the trailer for relocation.

  • One of my responsibilities as Marketing Manager is to develop, post, and track social media content that aids employee recruitment, builds brand awareness, and generates leads. I used Canva to design content and have used both NetSocial and Sendible to schedule posts and track performance.

I managed the BOS Security social media channels on LinkedIn and Facebook. Below are examples of content I posted across all channels.

  • I developed a range of digital and print sales materials for BOS Security, including case studies, whitepapers, rack cards, press releases, and more. Over almost four years, I produced and compiled a robust SharePoint page for the sales team to utilize, consisting of more than 30 whitepapers, 20 case studies, and over 20 print materials. I collaborated closely with the Sales Manager, VP of Technology, and CEO to create effective resources that educate clients and drive more contract signings.

    Case Studies

The Stolen Car Case Study details an incident resolved by the VirtuGuard Command Center, preventing high-value theft for a car dealership collective client. The sales team shared this case study with prospective clients to showcase how the service performed and why it was valuable to the client.

In collaboration with partner technology company Camect, we created a one-page case study detailing how Camect technologies improved VirtuGuard services and added additional value for clients of both companies.

    Whitepapers

To promote additional services offered by the VirtuGuard Command Center, I created a one-page whitepaper for the sales team to utilize.

To educate prospective clients on VirtuGuard remote video monitoring, I designed this one-page flyer detailing how the service works, technology capabilities, and more.

    Press Release

To announce and promote a new certification achievement, I wrote and distributed a press release to industry and local publications.

    Print

The sales team regularly attended industry trade shows and events to build brandawareness and generate new leads for both clients and the channel partner program. Here is a rack card I designed for trade show tabling.

  • I wrote “Miss the Mirrors” while taking my first-ever creative writing class at the University of Georgia. In this short nonfiction story, I reflect on my experience growing up in the world of dance and the impact it still has on my body image.

About a year after writing “Miss The Mirrors” for class, I submitted the story for publication considerations through Stillpoint Literary Magazine, UGA’s undergraduate literary publication. The piece was accepted for publication and appeared in the 52nd volume of the print magazine in 2021.

  • During an advanced creative writing class at the University of Georgia, I drafted “Manuscripts” for an in-class workshop. I made a few suggested edits before submitting the story for publication consideration in the 52nd edition of Stillpoint Literary Magazine. It was published in 2021. “Manuscripts” is an honest reflection on family and ancestry.

  • After launching a new service at my current company, I began drafting and testing targeted drip email marketing campaigns in Apollo. In addition to writing emails, I created long-form sequences and compiled robust contact lists of industry decision-makers.

    Newsletters

One of my responsibilities as Marketing Manager is to research, create, distribute, and track analytics for several monthly and bimonthly newsletters. Below are three examples of newsletters I managed over the years to boost employee loyalty, build brand awareness, and promote existing content and upcoming events.

    Monthly Employee Newsletter

Each month, I created and distributed a newsletter to all internal and external employees within BOS Security. I included important news and announcements, recognized employee and company achievements, and more to grow employee loyalty and retention.

    Bimonthly Industry Targeted Newsletters

One of the bimonthly niche newsletters I designed, sent, and tracked through Zoho Campaigns targeted technology integrator decision-makers. Each newsletter contained pertinent updates and information about BOS Security with the intention of securing new channel partners across the United States.

    Webinar Invitation Email Blast

To promote a collaborative webinar with a partner company, Scylla, I produced and distributed an email blast to invite security industry leaders to register.

  • I had the opportunity to complete digital copywriting projects for BOS Security. From webpage updates to writing SEO-optimized content, I gained familiarity and confidence in writing for lead generation, educational content, and employee retention.

    Round The Clock 24/7 Website

Under the CEO’s guidance, I led a project to create a new website for a new service, telephone answering services. I arranged an agreement and collaborated with a freelance Web Designer to build the website. I created a wireframe of the website and drafted copy for each page. I completed this project within two months and continue to maintain the website.

    VirtuGuard™ Home Page Updates

In the first quarter of 2026, I updated the VirtuGuard™ homepage to improve lead generation and to SEO-optimize the page for Google’s new algorithm and the use of generative AI for web searches.

  • Since I began my role as Marketing Manager in June 2022, I’ve written and published over 140 blog posts for BOS Security. I collaborated with the sales and operations teams to brainstorm topics relevant to potential customers and showcase the results of our services. I researched blog topics by consulting industry experts, reading verified articles, and regularly checking for news and updates from security industry associations. I used SEO best practices to rank for targeted keywords and generate new leads through both organic and direct searches.

Below, I’ve linked four of the blogs I researched, wrote, and published for BOS Security.

In the What I Do Matters blog series, I interviewed external employees about the importance and influence of their work in the security industry. I wrote these blogs to promote employee retention and satisfaction.

Please see my Video Content for the recorded interviews.

I wrote “Cameras and Technologies Compatible with VirtuGuard™ Remote Monitoring” as an online educational resource for the sales team and prospective clients. I collaborated with the VP of Technology and the Director of Sales to produce this SEO-optimized blog.

“VirtuGuard™ vs. Remote Monitoring Competitors: How We Compare” is another pillar SEO-optimized blog to generate new leads and educate clients.

“BOS Security Officer Recognized for Lifesaving Efforts” was written to recognize an external employee for going above and beyond in their work and to educate the public about the emergency preparedness skills required to be a Security Officer.
